Meanwhile on Rogue Star, after Nick and A.J. escape from their cell, they free Small Foot, and the three carry out various acts of sabotage before escaping in a Renegade Spacehawk fighter. They land on Quartex and hook up with Leader-1 and the rest. Cannibalizing the fighter for all its parts, Scooter is able to construct energy projectile weapons for Boulder and his troops, and fully repairs Leader-1 and Turbo.

GoBots-as-GoBots once again lay fallow for a while after "Withered Hope". Occasionally side-references would be made in-fiction, mostly in the form of Shattered Glass and TransTech iterations of GoBots as native Cybertronians. In 2010, the Collectors' Club membership "freebie" toy Dion came with Cop-Tur, a blue redeco of the toy's mold-mate Mini-Con Jolt. Though his characterization was inspired by the GoBots Cop-Tur (the blue deco was actually a result of the gang-molding with the Dion toy rather than a deliberate choice), they were quick to declare that he was a native Cybertronian, not a displaced GoBot. In 2013 a "Withered Hope" follow-up story arc called Spatiotemporal Challengers was announced, part one of which eventually saw release on January 7, 2016.

In 2015, as a part of the run-up to BotCon, Fun Publications unveiled a number of new Facebook-published features, broadcasting in-universe on the Axiom Nexus News network. One of them was yet another revival of "Ask Vector Prime". With a prodigious output of answers to user questions, sometimes more than ten a day, the feature managed to cover the depth and breadth of the Transformers franchise... and the Tonka GoBots. The words "GoBot" or "Gargent" (the universal stream designation of the GoBots franchise) show up almost 50 times in the column. New GoBots universes were introduced, and many characters and concepts were explicitly referenced by name. The first major example of this was when Jim Sorenson Vector took the step of publicly canonizing a GoBots character as a Transformers character: the Evil One, an ancient and villainous GoBot, was said to be the Gargent incarnation of the Fallen. A picture was even put up of the Evil One's animation model.[4] Stretch was explicitly confirmed to be the GoBot Stretch (and the reason many GoBots look like Earth vehicles). The amount of GoBots questions shot up once the Evil One question was asked. Vector Prime later described a dimension-hopping encounter where Optimus Prime and a small team of Autobot Spy Changers teamed up with the Guardians to battle the Renegades, "Brain Problem Situation", marking the second official GoBots/Transformers crossover. A third crossover, "Echoes and Fragments", would be published in the waning days of the column. Many pieces of production artwork from Hanna Barbara were published, though per the note about free-advertising above none depicted a Bandai toy-based design. Pieces included Tonka toys, ships, and non-toy characters.

Onboard Roguestar Nick and A.J. are able to disable their cell's infrared sensor and search for Small Foot, soon finding and freeing her. Below, the Guardians and Boulder's troops are attacked by Magnoids. The GoBots are nearly devoured until Nuggit advises them to channel electric jolts towards the creatures, driving them off. As the group trek across the wastelands Boulder and Nuggit tell the Guardians that they were once organic before a catastrophe fused them with rock, though Nuggit himself is robotic and predates the rock people. He was found in one of the planet's dead cities by Boulder's group and repaired, having no memories of his earlier life. The group are further threatened by Rockasaurs until Boulder, Granite, Crackpot and Pulver-Eyes drive them off - though Boulder is forced to use the last of his scepter's power to save Marbles.

Magmar meanwhile prepares the Tumbler to dispose of Solitaire but the good guys have a plan. Now able to fly, Nuggit disables the Narlies on sentry duty while the others lay charges around Magmar's Stone Wing and Stonehead itself before sabotaging the Thruster. They then sneak up the mountain, leaving the Fossil Lord outside with the detonator. Magmar adds the Fossil Lord's scepter to the Power Stone, which springs to life and ejects the Ultra Scepter. The Renegades then try to double cross Magmar and the two groups fight, allowing Solitaire to get free and re-join Boulder. The charges are then blown and the Guardians storm Stonehead, adding further chaos to the battle. After blasting Sticks'n'Stones, Cy-Kill takes the Ultra Sceptre and the Renegades run for it. Leader-1, Turbo and Small Foot give chase, while Nuggit shoots the roof supports of Stonehead, dropping the ceiling on Magmar and his gang; Boulder's troops then draw them out into the open. Meanwhile Cy-Kill finds the Thruster wrecked and decides to attack the Guardians with the Ultra Sceptre but is unable to handle the weapon's power. Leader-1 easily dodges the blasts he fires while the rest of the Renegades head back to Roguestar. Taking pity on him, Leader-1 blasts the scepter out of Cy-Kill's hands before it destroys him and allows the Renegade leader to follow his troops in retreat. The out-of-control sceptre then collides with Stonehead, where Magmar notes he still has control of the fortress.

Following the success of the first Michael Bay Live Action Transformers Movie back in 2007, Hasbro worked with movie studios around the world to bring your childhood toys into the big-screen. From toys such as G. I. Joe to board games like Battleship and Ouija, Hasbro is a live action movie machine with more live action movies such as Jem And The Holograms and Candyland down the pipeline.

Way too many folks sleep on Gobots. There are some really great figures and some very accurate vehicle modes in that line. I'm totaly fine with the majority of fans not collecting gobots though, it keeps the prices down.

if you compare the smaller transformers to the gobots, both of which are simple. gobots easily competes. sure shockwave is cool, and one of the best decepticon toys ever. but one also can not deny that that gobot laser gun, is awesome.

Transformers has always been the clear winner over Go Bots. Though gobots was great for Transformers in that it was compitition. After all this time, I think there are a good number of people who now have a soft spot for Gobots.

It's possible, although it's also possible that she's just not familiar with the word "hologram". We're used to Marvel movies and whatnot using holograms left and right, but back then the concept was probably a bit more foreign, especially in general appeal media (Star Wars probably being the main exception). If she didn't watch Star Wars or other sci-fi movies/shows, she might not be familiar with the concept, so she just described it as a "voice".

Transformers versus Go-Bots! Which one was better? The answer is Transformers. Goodnight! Of course we're joking (kind of). It was never about which toy was better because both offered diverse characters and backstories. That being said, did you really come here for level-headed rationality or did you come here to see some brutal memes pitting Autobots and Decepticons versus Guardians and Renegades? Given all of the reboots and relaunches happening in the movies and on Netflix, the Transformers and Go-Bots may be back sooner than you think; so if you thought the debate was over, guess again! The loser goes to the scrap heap!

The All-Terrain Armored Transports were deployed by Darth Vader to destroy the Rebel base on the planet. Because of the freezing cold and wind, the ability to travel on Hoth was limited. Although the Empire could have come in with tanks, AT-ATs are used because their size and method of movement makes them look like giant creatures lumbering towards you, and the Empire tries to make people afraid of them whenever they can. We wonder what happens when the Rebels look inside and find not Darth Vader but a very upset Leader-1!

When you look at the live-action Transformers movies, you can definitely see how Michael Bay tried to modernize the series. The Autobots and Deceptions in the cartoon resembled their toy counterparts but also took liberties with their looks. Sometimes wheels would conveniently disappear or other parts would fold away to make it aesthetically pleasing. However, in Michael Bay's movies, the Transformers robot versions are extremely complex looking, making the robots looks like they're made out of millions of moving metal parts. Although cool looking to some, many die hard fans of the animated 1980s cartoon say that the new versions are unrecognizable when compared to the animated series. 2b1af7f3a8
