Language packs installed using Windows Update provide a fully translated version of Windows dialog boxes, menu items, and help content. The MUI technology was developed in response and as an improvement to localized versions -- an older technology for globalizing and deploying software packages. This section describes the differences and advantages of MUI over localized versions.

In other words, the application logic files are no longer English-centric. This separation allows for changing languages completely without changing the core binaries of Windows, and to have multiple languages installed using the same application logic binaries. Languages are applied as language packs containing the resources required to localize part of or the entire user interface in Windows Vista.

This article describes a language issue that occurs when you install language packs on computers that have Windows 8.1 Update 2919355 installed. Consider the symptoms and check the prerequisites before you apply the associated updates.Note These updates are incomplete language packs. The language packs contain only the updated resources for Windows 8.1 Update 2919355, and they should be applied only after the Windows 8.1 Language Pack has been installed.

Assume that you install Windows 8.1 from installation media that includes Windows 8.1 Update 2919355. Then, you add a language pack.Note This issue does not occur if you first install a language pack on a Windows 8.1-based computer, and then you install Windows 8.1 Update 2919355.

So far this is the 3rd thing that has really bothered me about windows 7. The first thing I noticed that I could not stand was the paint was different and I did not like it at all. So I imported paint from XP and used it. Then I noticed sound recorder was actually much worse in windows 7 (they removed most of the features from sound recorder). So I replaced that and now this. I hate having to change operating systems :(. Well thanks for the help :)

The game package has reached version 3, and now it is fully compatible with Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8. Besides the games itself, it also received a number of improvements for Windows 11. The installer now supports High DPI and doesn't look blurry any longer. The non-working Game Explorer no longer appears in the Windows 11 Start menu. The Internet Games are now optional and not checked by default.

The games included in this package come with a full set of language resources. The installer is able to determine which languages you have installed in your OS, and extract only the required resources to save your disk spaces and don't fill it with redundant files.

If you have upgraded from a previous Windows version, or you have installed a newer build of Windows 11 over the older one, the games will stop working. You'll have to reinstall them. Simply reinstall the package. Do it as follows.

Just a heads up for the win 7 games 4 win 10 team. Microsoft update KB5005539 stops the win 7 games working on windows 10!! The update arrived on my computer on the 5th of October 2021. I removed the update and can now play the win 7 games (WOOHOOOOO). Keep up the good work.
